Shoulder Pain
Causes of shoulder pain include Tendonitis/bursitis, Injury/instability and Arthritis. Diagnosing and finding the right treatment is sometimes difficult. Examining patient medical history, x-rays and other tests may result in a recommendation for surgery by one of our well trained orthopedic surgeons. However, other treatments for shoulder pain include rest, physical therapy, pain medications and anti-inflammatory medications.
Shoulder Replacement
Replacement of an arthritic or injured shoulder is less common than knee or hip replacement. When necessary, however, shoulder replacement typically provides the same benefits as those procedures, including relief of joint pain and restoration of more normal joint movement. There are two types of shoulder replacement procedures; a partial shoulder joint replacement is used when the glenoid socket is intact and does not need to be replaced and a total shoulder joint replacement is used when the glenoid socket needs to be replaced. Either way, shoulder replacement is designed to replicate natural anatomy to relieve pain and restore function.
Results
