Hip Pain
Causes of hip pain include Osteoarthritis (OA), Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), Post-traumatic Arthritis, and Avascular Necrosis, and diagnosing and finding the right treatment is sometimes difficult. Examining patient medical history, x-rays and other tests may result in a recommendation for surgery by one of our well trained orthopedic surgeons. However, other treatments for hip pain include medication, physical therapy, arthroscopy (cleaning the joint) and joint fluid supplements (injections that provide temporary pain relief).
Hip Replacement and Resurfacing
Advancements in Orthopedicsfor hip replacement include better wear performance, better implant coatings and minimally invasive surgery. When necessary, however, hip replacement typically provides the same benefits, including relief of joint pain and restoration of more normal joint movement. There are two types of hip procedures; replacement and resurfacing. Either way, hip replacement is designed to replicate natural anatomy to relieve pain and restore function.
Results
